  • I have seen the future!

On my way to the job site this morning, I spotted this billboard. I know it is a mistake, but it makes you think!

That's only a little more than the actual price in Europe RIGHT NOW. $8 is the latest I've heard, of course, converted to dollars.

I'll second Gary on that. Still seems like yesterday (even though I know it was 1997) that I was filling up the 12-gallon tank in my '89 Escort hatchback for less than $15 and drove it for two weeks before repeating the process. Those were good times.

These days, I put $20 in my F-150 and I'm lucky if it's enough to take my son to preschool for a week. [V]

The good news is that gas here in KY has gone down about 15 cents in the past couple of weeks. The station on the corner had theirs priced at $2.859/gallon today. [:I]

Come on down to southwest Virginia and we can go up into the hills where we hid the stash of good stuff and sit around and mourn for a while on the high price of gas in Richmond and then we can mosey over to the coal gasification plant where they give fuel away. Haven't paid for any gas in 5 years and my Studes love it just asking for more and more.

They "give away" fuel? You need to explain this.
