There has recently been a running series of posts on stainless repair/polishing on the Technical Posts of this SDC Forum by someone experienced and expert in the procedures. I believe that the series is now up to eight posts.

Gary's right. Look over on the Tech forum for posts by Lark Parker.

            http://www.amazon.com/Restore-Metal-.../dp/0760303312
Both links are the same book, just two different places to buy. A lot of internet book sellers have this book. I have a copy, and it is pretty good info.

Also, as others have mentioned.....see our own Lark Parker's posts on restoring SS trim.

                Hi Don,

Here is the best book i have on the art of stainless repair. I found it very useful and helpful: How to Restore Metal Auto Trim (Motorbooks Workshop) by Jeff Lilly.

                Amazon offers it:

                http://tinyurl.com/2w6edg

                Good Luck.
