  • 1/18 58 Golden Hawk

Picked up a 58GH in 1/18scale. Has roll up windows in it.Lots more detail than my 57. My question is . It has a pair of water hoses that run underneath the passenger seat. What are these for?

For the stock under seat heater, but the hoses should be black.

That's the same one I have, color and all. Nice model!
The hoses are heater hoses. The heater was under the seat on the pass. side.

FWIW, the model is mislabeled. It seems to be built using a '57 as a reference, as nothing on it is '58. [V]

Karl - 'hate to be one to tell you that this one is a '57 also. A '58 would have a large "hawk" medalion at the middle bottom of the grill. The fender-top parking/signal lights have wings on the housings in '58 , but many models do not have this detail
The two hoses under the passenger seat are hot water supply and return hoses for the under-seat heater core.

It's amazing what Chinese women and men can do at very low wages.
