    That'd be correct. Rigs like this were built on an 'A1' chassis- just the hood fenders and a firewall to bolt it all to.

    Gary, if you look real close, I think it still has a two-piece windshield. It simply has a center divider bar, rather than a sheet metal divider.

    I am in charge of the transportation department at the school where I work. I wonder if I could convince them to go retro. Ha ha. Unfortunately it would never pass current safety and emissions rules. It sure would look cool in our bus yard though.

    If anyone is looking for a Studebaker bus, there's a 1951 available in Sutherlin Oregon. The advertiser states the drivetrain has been upgraded, but it needs brake work.
