    Woo-hoo! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Tuesday, September 26: I just updated the preliminary report on the Racing Studebakers site; link above.

Good News: I got the Event's Official Results in this morning's e-mails and learned that Rich Meadows and his R4 Challenger WON their 2-out-of-3 shootout after all. That's because his competitor, in a 1973 Pontiac Formula 455, broke out in Round One, immediately disqualifying himself and handing the shootout win to Rich.

If you run more than .300 under your qualifying time in the shootouts, you DQ yourself. The Formula's Qualifying Time was 14.802, so he could run as low as 14.503 and be OK. But he ran 14.273 in their Shootout Round One , handing the official win to Rich.

      Congrats, Rich. BP

Pekka Polvinen just made me aware of this good link on the Hot Rod magazine blog:

        http://www.hotrod.com/articles/facto...e-stock-drags/

Robin Loughlin lookin' good in her Laguna Blue 1964 225 HP / 4-speed Daytona in the last frame of the blog. Considering the writer had 102 images to choose from, 'cool beans that he chose Robin for his Studebaker caption...albeit a little misleading as to parts availability. But, hey; we'll take it!

        'Way cool, Pekka; thanks! BP
