I fitted the carpet and seat covers (my wife made), on the weekend. Cutting that thick under felt is a PITA, especially for the brake master cylinder and transmission inspection holes going through the foot pad, carpet and under felt. She was lucky to find a great pattern in actual upholstery fabric at a remnants store, even in a slightly different colour for the our '51 Coupe.
