  • '57 two door sedan in Maine & '58 Packard hardtop parts car

    Hi

Just returned from Maine, spotted a '57 two door sedan, either a Champion or Commander on state route Alt 1 between Bangor and Ellsworth. We were in a hurry so didn't stop and look it over, sorry.

This '58 Packard hardtop turned up on CL, probably a parts car:

It could be great candidate for a 1957 front clip conversion?

If anyone wants me to take a look at it let me know. It's only a few miles from me.

I'll take a look. Noticed it has a NJ plate on the rear, so perhaps it's not a VT (road salt) rust bucket.

Yes, noticed the NJ plate as well. It's an old plate, first of the buff and black renewable plates. Think it was issued in 1959.
Remember helping my Dad put his new 1959 plates on our 1958 Champion. That plate # was BWV-550.

CL ad says, "we have about 325 old cars for sale."

The radio looks like the hard to find 58-60 radio with the even harder to find fat white push buttons. The buttons look degraded from the sun, however.
