Welcome to the SDC and to the SDC Forum Chris!

Given the AGE of these Engines; 53 years, the average "Running" R1 with 10.25 to 1 Compression (=shorter life) I would not call "Good running", just running needing some amount of work ie; Valve Grind, Re-Ring, Rebuild etc.

Chris Just rebuild yours to r-1 specs with a few up grades. Cost is about the same as a stock rebuild. If you want a r-1 numbered block just grind off yours and stamp it. That's how much that means to a Studebaker.

        Christopher,
Are you looking for R1 with correct serial number and all internal parts? If so, I can help. If not, I would reccommend what others have said and rebuild yours.
