  • Buttercup is gonna need a name change

This is Buttercup when I bought him 2-3 years ago.

Somehow 'Buttercup' just doesn't seem appropriate for the car that he is going to be.
    Any suggestions?
I've thought about 'Ebony' but that's not carved in stone.

Hey Jerry, Lookin' good. I was just about to ask about black paint and what people are using. And then I see your post. Soooo, what are you using on Buttercup/ebony? I was thinking DuPont 99K. Let's hear from some of yall on your choice of Black paint.

Jerry, if there's anything consistent about you, it's your taste in air cleaners.

I think you should keep the name. A black car named Buttercup sounds like something you would own.

Good to hear from you Tex.
Since a Medallion/Rubber Seal distributor is only 1/2 mile from me, that is what I use. On this one we are using plain ole single stage urethane enamel.
Of course I don't do the paint and body work myself. I tried it once and decided to put my talents to easier tasks. I let my flunkies, uh, I mean compatriots do the hard work.

                      That sounds good.
James, one of my compatriots, squirted the black stuff on last Sunday morning. We will wait 'til next Monday then we, I mean 'he' will start the color sanding and buffing.

That looks REALLY Good if you like the Sinister "Black", but it had a LOT more character and looked sharper in Yellow and White.

I think Raven should work well. I'll admit I am predjudiced in that I knew a woman who was stunningly beautiful who had almost blue-black hair and that was the name her parents gave her at birth, her curves were almost as good as Buttercup's.
