  • Turn signal electrical issue

Hello, I'm having a little electrical issue with my turn signals on my 50 Commander. When the key is on, both turn signal indicators on the dash cluster light up and when I turn the lever one way, the opposite light flashes while the other stays lit.
My question is...are the turn signal indicators suppose to be lit when the key is on and driving, then flash when the lever is flipped, or should the turn signal indicators on the dash be out when driving and only light and flash when the lever is flipped to indicate a turn?
I have only had the car since last August and haven't driven it much, due to getting the maintenance done to get it road ready.
Post your response here, or call or text me at 715-937-2560
    Thanks for your input,
    John

Dash indicators should be off unless signal is turned on, like any standard vehicle. You've either got something wired wrong or a ground fault issue; I would suspect the latter.
