  • Mylar Material is available for Golden Hawks

I just spoke with someone at SMS Auto Fabrics 503-263-3535 who knew instantly that they had the mylar for Studebaker Golden Hawks. They are sending me a sample.
The price is $75 per yard which which is 54" wide. One yard will easily do both door areas the back seat areas and have enough to do at least one more door panel if one gets screwed up. I need the silver but I believe they also have the gold colored material.
Anyway, I had searched for this information previously and did not come up with a supplier so am posting as I know others are or will be looking for the material.

When I had my Packard-Hawk & Packard H/T I got the Mylar from Roy Heckers in California, don't know if he still has some as that was long ago.

I am sure he is talking about the door panel inside vinyl embossed mylar over cloth.

Just to follow up I received samples of three colors of the mylar material - silver, gold and a darker silver metallic. The darker metallic was an exact match with what I need.
