  • 1950 Champion Rear Springs with Covers Part Number?

I'm trying to find the part number for the rear springs with covers for my 50 Champion. I read somewhere that only 49 and 50 are the correct fit, but now I just looked in my 1953 Motors Parts and Labor book and it lists 1947-1950 having #524066 springs. Does anyone know the correct number and what years fit my 50 Champion?

Until recently I wasn't aware some 1950's didn't have covers. Does anyone know if that was correct only on the lowest trim line, or what the deal was? Thanks,
    Tom

My understanding is that the 47-49 cars use narrower springs that are wrapped. 50-52 springs are the same length, but wider and not wrapped.

I have had 3 50 commander star lights. Not all had wrapped springs. The one I have currently is an original car with wrapped springs. The set of now springs I found at Sasco are not wrapped. The part number for this now set was not in the parts books. Dave confirmed application via the blueprints. I thought you could buy the wraps separately.

I've had four 1950 Champions and all had wrapped rear springs.
