  • 1952 1.5 ton truck available near Bozeman MT

There's a 1952 one and a half ton truck available in Belgrade Montana, near Bozeman.

It's difficult to tell, but it looks like it might have solid bones.

That does look in good condition for $1500.

Wouldn't the front bumper have been all white from the factory?
Looks like someone painted the center recess red at one time.

That carpeting must've been part of the Custom Interior Option. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

      Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

      G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

I wonder how long it would take to drive that back to Arkansas?

52-fan Looks like a nice truck but I would guess the road trip would take some time. Do a google maps and plan on about 45 miles per hour of drive time if your lucky.

Well, I do have friends in South Dakota............nope it's not going to happen, but if I had the money and time I would do it.
Belgrade is over 1500 miles from here. The trip would take at least 4 or 5 days (At 55MPH it used to take us a whole day to get from BelleFourche,SD to just out of the state), but would be quite an adventure. Of course, the purchase price could be a small part of the potential cost.

Lets hope it has a Commander six instead of a Champion six under the hood.

I'm not sure, but wouldn't all the ton and a half trucks only come with the commander engine?

My 1946 M-16 has the Commander engine.

It would be a 2R16A with the Commander engine.

Looks like no one answered your question. AFAIK, all (or at least all not special ordered) 2R trucks came with the two-color front bumpers. The center recess was painted body color and the ribs, off-white. There are also factory photos of the pre-production, prototype 3R trucks with the two-color front bumpers. However, that was changed, and production 3R trucks came with solid body-color bumpers.

If I could figure out how to get it home, this would be mine! The whole problem is getting it from Belgrade to Oak Run or Fawn Lodge...
