  • Cab Forward ACE sought

After seeing a few on eBay the past few months I wanted to see if anyone had or knows of a Studebaker Cab forward ( Ace) for sale. Would like as original and complete as possible ( and if the wood frame did not need replacing even better!)

But I know there are not many but please let me know if you know of any

    Thanks Greg

The following ad is copied from the Minnesota North Star chapter of the SDC February 2017 newsletter. I think a 2M2 is an Ace model. Do some research to be sure.

FOR SALE - Pair of 1936 2T2 One-ton Trucks, mostly complete, $2,000 each. Pair of 1936 2M2 Cab-over Trucks enough to make one truck, $4,900 for both. 1939 K-15M Cab-over Truck, nice restorable shape $12,000 OBO. 1939 K-10 Pickup on 2006 Chev Avalanche chassis, bodywork done, $12,000 OBO. Bill Wielinski, 15522 Hwy 27, Little Falls, MN 56845. 320-237-3097. (ends Feb ‘17)
    In the middle of MinneSTUDEa.

The name Ace was applied to the 1935 1T2. 1936 2T2, and the 1936 2M2 models. The latter was called the Metro Ace, and would be the only one that seems to fit the description. The cab-forward models continued into the 1937 model year, but the name Ace apparently did not.
