  • Need a set of Champion valve retainer locks

The Champion we're building at present came to us in boxes and somehow the owner lost the little C-clip valve spring retainer locks. They're NLA new from my usual sources. Since they don't wear, a set of used are fine. Anyone got twelve they won't be using?

Still need them. Also, anyone have any .005" oversize Champion lifters?

What year Champion? We have 194505 'valve spring retainers' that I'm showing fit 39-40, and 57-60 Champion 6's.

        Hi, Matt,

The engine is a '52. Someone more Champion experienced will have to tell us what is the difference.

Our description could be wrong, too. I don't know enough about the Champ sixes to know for sure. I'll dig into the books tomorrow and see what I can find.

I do not think the Horseshoe shaped Valve Keepers are called spring retainers. They do the same job as the (2) V8 tapered valve "keepers" do.
