    That was not my only goof in hindsight. The biggest one was leaving a NOS, trimmed M series cab from a dealer buy out because I thought no one is going to restore a old Studebaker truck and it would be a pain to bring home.

    Last set I saw on ebay were a $600 set no sale. The seller was from Australia I think.

    I know the guy selling it. He is a great guy. Look at his other stuff for sale. You wouldn't think there would be someone with so much R series stuff for sale.

    maybe I'm over simplifying, but I'd think that the ovals would be easy-ish to make, since the tooling has already been done for the R1 and R2 variants.

    Of course, there would be a very limited market for them...

    Sure, I glued a set on my tool box back in the 70's. I think they were under $5.00 a pair at Standard Surplus. They had a gray and black circle in the center if I recall correctly.
