Check out the poor man's hood pins on this 65 Commander. This could be sitting in your driveway tomorrow.

Hey, they work on my gate. Just a little filler, some sanding, and that'll buff right out.

Don't see anything but twigs from when in sat in the trees.

Right rear corner of the hood has a nasty bend to it.

With a nice big eyebolt planted where the Studebaker "S" should by you could take that chain, wrap it upward across the bumper and grill and have a secondary means of securing that hood - and a lock too! Guy probably got tired of the hood cable either breaking or slipping and resorted to plan "B."

Who knows what the frame/floors look like, but honestly, externally it looks better than a lot of what I see on Craigslist.

Maybe this will help. I had trouble finding them too.

Now I see the hood pins! But do they come in chrome?

Oh!! Now I see the latch on the top front edge of the fender and the catch on the good. The chain on the ground was probably for dragging the car out of the trees.
