That's the one that was for sale for the longest time in Sedro-Woolley. I'll keep an eye out for it.

This may be a huge problem, it appears Jim's Avanti has been "appropriated" by the Classic Car Lot and re-sold with a signed Consignment Contract, and NOW it's being Re-re-sold discreetly on something called "Autozin" in Alamo, Indiana where the Sedro Wooley, WA Police would probably have never heard of, to look.

I do not know the real "Back Story", but a Chapter Member had a friend lose his Chev. from the same Classic Car Lot the same way.

The worst part is, this may very well be Morally Wrong, but LEGAL here!

The mayor of Sedro-Woolley is a car/truck nut, it might be a good idea to contact him.

Rich: I know him personally, he's not a tree hugging liberal.

              Hi,

Well, if it's in that lot on consignment, isn't the person that runs that lot responsible for selling it in order to earn his percentage of the sale price? Maybe that's all he's doing; and he (or she) just didn't think it was necessary to contact the Avanti's owner.

Hah, try the link now. About 10 minutes ago, I opened the link and Avanti was looking at me. So I emailed and asked for the serial number... Now the
                link has disappeared

I suppose that this calls for a seller beware of anyone who you might choose as a sales "agent."

I guess one good thing is that it's still in one piece. Alamo IN is near Crawfordsville, west northwest of Indianapolis. With the way the internet is, it could be anywhere.

The even worse part is, an innocent person may have spent his good money to buy this and ship it and not know it was not Paid for by the prior owner before selling it with a Bill of Sale or forged title.

The way I see it, this Car may not have been "Officially" stolen, so not report-able or reclaimable.

Ha!. Look up Alamo, IN on Google. In the middle of nowhere and you could WALK the perimeter in maybe 5 minutes . That car was never there....

The photographs in the Autozin ad were the same ones from the ad the dealer in WA posted, probably screen captures. If you do an internet search using "Avanti R1 29731" you'll come up with several ads linking back to the dealer in WA, but the Autozin ad was the only one showing the car is in Alamo.
