  • Rubber Mat Repair

Please forgive me if I am in the wrong place. I am brand new to this forum and to this hobby (although I have been a car nut forever). I recently was able to acquire an almost exact duplicate to my very First Car, a 1956 Commander 4 door Sedan, 259 with OD. I am thrilled!!!!!!

The car is in really good condition for its age but does have some work needed. My current project is the floor. The original rubber mats are here, I have all the peices but they are in need of help. The mats are torn in places and need to be repaired before I can reinstall them. Any ideas on how to go about doing this? (Sorry, I'm not yet set up to include a pic but will soon.)

OK, OK , OK, 3 posts in 3 months, and a dozen requests in one year..

I will have new mats soon for 1963 sedan, C cab trucks, 1963 Wagonaire, and 1957 sedans pretty soon. I'll check the parts books to see what other models I can actually make. I have 1 set here, and expect more soon. These are very special order, and match the originals dead on. I hope to keep these in the 400 dollar ball park per car set. These mats will be a Studebakers Northwest exclusive, and custom made my me in the USA. I can only make these to fit bodys I have here. This is a not for profit venture and much work goes into 1 set of these babys.

I can take 4 orders now, send no money yet.
