We learned Friday the Hilton Garden Inn & Suites host hotel sold out our initial block of rooms. They are adding more rooms but you're going to have to act fast. Fortunately, we have agreements with 9 other hotels and have tried to ensure there are hotel rooms for every budget, both very near the host hotel and also down near the swap meet /car show venue at Camp Jordan. Unfortunately, taxes of all types are a way of life, and Chattanooga is no exception. Expect to pay taxes on your stay at one of the hotels

I made reservations at the host hotel this morning with no problems. I want to thank Wayne Lee for the quick response to me email concerning a couple of things.

I just talked and secured 2 rooms for the 4 nights at the Home 2 suites right next to the host hotel, these rooms are the type with 2 queen beds and a fold out couch good for 3 guys, I always secure an extra room so I will have it if needed. see you there.

Justin, did you get the Studebaker Meet discount? We know the hotel has more rooms available during our time frame, but they are not necessarily priced with the discount. The latest word was that the additional rooms added to our block were sold out.
Just as a precaution to any further folks booking rooms at the host hotel, please make sure you are getting the discounted rate rather than their normal rate! Thanks to all, Bill.

Yes, I mentioned the SDC discount and received the same price as listed above. I made the reservation yesterday. In addition, they said they had 2 queens or 1 king rooms available at the discount price. So that means they released more rooms for our club. Go grab them.

Here's some updated info that might help some of you with any questions you may have about the meet. As you all know Wayne Lee is chairman of the meet committee and they have been working diligently to plan a meet that all will enjoy. The meet is overseen by Denny Foust and his stamp of approval is needed on all decisions the committee makes. There have been several setbacks to the committee members (physical emergency's) but now all are in recovered status so we can march on with the plans. Registration forms for the meet and vendors will be coming out very soon as approvals are given. They will be published on line and in Turning wheels, so keep your eye's peeled for them to be available. Again, if anyone has questions, please feel free to ask them as we want to have the communication pipeline open. Thanks to all, Bill.

                        Hi,
I have a registration question for the meeting:
                        Where can I register?
It will be my first meeting in the United States. The flights and the hotel are booked.
Now only the registration for the meeting is missing.
                        Martin

Martin, the registration info is coming in a month or so. We have to release the meet information according to SDC rules and the registration form will be released after the Vendor registration form is put out there. The vendor info should be released this month (January 2020) and hopefully the general registration the following month (February 2020). There is plenty of time to get everything taken care of, so please be patient. Thanks, Bill.

SDC has approved the vendor registration form. It is now posted to http://www.sdcmeet.com/. The Board recently increased prices for some of IM activities and we are having to adjust some aspects of the General Registration Form (GRF) accordingly. We have another planning committee meeting right after Xmas and are hoping to get the GRF to SDC soon after for their review and approval. Wayne

Alright folks, here is the 2020 Chattanooga International Meet registration form. It will be coming out in the next (March) issue of Turning Wheels and will be put up on the SDC website in a couple weeks. We are putting it up here so everyone has as early of a chance to get registered as possible. EARLY registration is highly recommended, so make a copy, fill it out and send it in with your payment as soon as you can. Thanks for being so patient with our process to get you the info you need. I have two questions:

                                1.
Is there any other way to pay other than by check?
I do not have checks because this method of payment is not common in Germany.

                                2.
Would it also be possible to send the registration via email.
Especially when registering for events, which is limited to 50 people, I have the problem that my registration is not there in time when I send it by post, since a letter from Germany can be on the way for a long time.

                                Thanks,
                                Martin
