  • Carb Parts

Does anyone know where I can obtain a needle and seat as well as an accelerator pump. I have a Carter WE 927 1 Barrel on it. SI says that it is not the right carb for that car. Go Figure. I have a 56 Champion 2dr. I am still trying to get the car ready to take to South Bend.

    Any suggestions?

I have several needle valves and accelerator pumps that I bought from a studebaker dealer. If you know the studebaker part # if will look through what I have and see if I have any.

My carter book shows the carb as fitting a 1950-52 Reo lawnmower! It does not have a sheet for this carb in it.

        Another source is http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/

You might be better off getting the correct carb for your car. I would be surprised if a 927 was a bolt on, I would bet they took part of the 927 and part of your original body.

You can buy a rebuilt one here <http://www.carb-x.com/domestic-carburetors/studebaker/champion/2232t> for $249.00 exchange.
My carb. looks dirty but I did run it with that carb. I replaced it with a brand new one from Carter.
