A '62 OHV Stude "6" in an Avanti truly is a novel idea!

Looks like a 60s CE. Come to think of it the Champ is the same concept too.

            Better idea than the "Kvanti"!

                My “Half Avantis”

I bought this Avanti pickup and another ’63 Avanti that had burned up to the firewall from an Avanti enthusiast in Raleigh, NC about 1980. My plan was to graft them together. I stripped the burned car back to the front floor fiberglass body seam and the hog troughs and cut the windshield posts at the upper welded in socket near the top header. The Avanti pickup was cut at the same point on the windshield posts and matching floor seam. There they sat in my barn until last fall when I sold them both along with some other Avanti parts and pieces collected over the years to a long time Avanti restorer and supplier in OH.

Sorry to hear the resurrection was never completed. Is the new owner planning to resurrect?

I doubt it. Too many other projects in progress.

There was only one title and chassis nameplate between the 2 cars. That was on the burned car: 63R-1091. There was no nameplate for the pickup. Neither had body ID plates.
