  • 1952 Commander Hard Top

Hi, trying to find out what carb was fitted to our 52, it never had one when we purchased it, the manifold, twin choke, and accelerator linkage are there but missing the important part, many thanks Dave

The carb you need is a Stromberg AAUVB-26. I couldn't find a good picture in my manuals. Google might provide a picture.

Hi, George, our spare parts guru here in New Zealand, has just handed me a fully restored carb for the 52, many thanks to you all, Dave

Best of luck. The Stromberg AAUVB-26 was rendered obsolete after the 1952 model run. I never had a problem with mine when I had a 52, but I do know of other people that did not like the carburetor. I did drive a 1952 Commander as a daily driver for 5 years and ran great.
