  • Looking for a carb rebuild kit for a 1959 Lark V8

My carb has begun to seep fuel in some areas. I was paging through the studebaker international catalog and am not having much luck in my search...

I would like to Buy a full rebuild kit with jets, gaskets etc for my 259 v8. (I don't know the difference between the stromberg, Rochester or carter carbs?)

Are there any nos rebuild kits floating around or any other sources to check?

    Need to know if it's a 4bbl or 2bbl?

If you don't know then a picture will suffice.

If it is a two barrel carb, it is a Stromberg. Carter for Studebaker V8 cars are four barrel. Rochester carbs are usually on the 65-66 283 McKinnon V8's. What carb is on your 1959 V8?

I used a STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS 1582 from Rock Auto on my Stromberg WW 123A carb on my 1961 V8 and it had everything I needed. No float or jets included in that kit, but for $30 it is expected the float is not there.

Doug, if you had him look where I told you to look, he would have found the Sub Model Number of Stromberg WW, I see it has the High Mounted Automatic choke, so it would be a 6-123.

None of those Patent numbers in Pic. #2 matter.

Please refer to my PM I sent on 01/02/2017.
