Who would list a special Car like a R2 Supercharged GT Hawk and NEVER mention it?
It MAY be a Power Shift floor shift, that is not mentioned either.
Not even the Power Disc brakes is mentioned.
The VIN # is: DFSD???StudeRich

Looking at the photo from the rear, I don't see a column shifter through the back glass, also interior appears red to me, but that may be just the photo lighting? I assumed that all GTs had a center console? At least all of the ones I have seen and the two that I own.Dan White

I first thought this was the black with red interior R2 Hawk with Halibrands that a dealer was trying to sell over the last year or so for 45Kish. The description says this one has a black interior so not sure they are the same car.

Always remember a beautiful 1964 GT Hawk sitting by the roadside fence at Walts Auto Parts in Blackwood NJ. It was dark blue with black interior. This poor car was loaded, p/s, a/c, power disc brakes, Flight-O-Magic with console shift.
I of course asked if it were for sale, reply was no and don't ask about it again. Evidently every person remotely interested in Studebaker's asked or pestered him about that car. Guess there wasn't any paper work or car was an impound or some other reason it was there. Never did find out why it was there.
Then one trip out there scounging some Lark parts I noticed the Hawk had been squashed into a pancake. Guess somebody had pushed Walts last button and he drove the dozer over it a few times. Such a waste.sigpic1957 Packard Clipper Country Sedan

Here's the earlier ad I remember seeing. It looks like the same car.

I use to own that car. I bought it from the original owner when it had 25k miles on it. It stayed here locally until a year or so ago and I was told by the PO that it went somewhere around the east coast. It is a nice car with a lot of original paint. It is a full pkg Super Hawk R2 with a power shift. Very sold body etc. original red interior with replacement carpets.

I notice a couple things I haven't seen before on this car. I don't know a lot about the '64, so can anyone enlighten me? I notice the radio panel on the dash doesn't extend forward along the side of the instrument pod, is this an aberration? Something peculiar to certain '64s? On all the GT's I've seen this panel also covers the side of the instrument pod part of the dash. Also, there's a pad along the lower right side of the dash, was this an accessory? I haven't seen that before either. My AC unit looks a lot like it and fills that same space.
