Fuel System: Gas Tank

I need to replace the gas tank on my 1957 Silver Hawk. I have located a good used tank from a 1964 Hawk. Are they the same tank? Same size, dimensions and interchangeable?

I think You can use it with no worries,even if they have different Part #s. if they do it's likely a Bracket or such that varies ?

tank will fit. Sending unit is different and the fuel pickup is different. The 57 fuel outlet is part of the sending unit, the 64 has a nipple at the bottom of tank for your fuel hose. You can used the 57 sending unit just plug the outlet fitting. relocate your fuel hose to bottom of the 64 tank.
