need to know VIN location

I've got a 57 transstar need to know where the vin numbers are at any help would be great

There are two plates on the step riser under the driver's side seat. One faces forward and just has trim and cab info. The stainless steel plate facing sideways includes two numbers: a model number and a serial number. The serial number will be in the format of E7-xxxxx. That's the VIN. The second digit could be a 5, 6, or 7 if it's a pickup. The term VIN was created around 1981 and did not really exist before that. Many younger DMV employees don't know that and refer to all old car serial numbers as VINs.
