  • Brakes: master cylinder

What is the accepted thought(s) as to high to fill a dual mc?..........in today heat I found fluid had weeped over the sides of the cover and killed the nice paint job I did on the master.

Can I run a m/c with half to 3/4 full?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts:-)

3/4 full would be good in my opinion but I would also inspect the level at shorter periods.

You MAY possibly need a better Gasket than the cheap Chinese one supplied with most offshore Mfg. Replacement components.

Also a switch to DOT 5 Silicone Fluid would also solve that and many more issues with Hydroscopic DOT 3 & 4 Fluids.
