Was surfing cars for sale on Ebay.ca tonight and when I clicked on a listing, it would show briefly, then the screen would switch to the ebay login screen. Could some Ebay scammers be setting up bogus ads with HTML imbeded in the write-up to direct you to another site with a bogus Ebay sign up screen? That's what it looks like. These guys never stop coming up with ideas!

I found a listing on ebay for a very nice 1958 Buick roadmaster Convertible. It said bidders had to be pre-screened. I responded that as a Stude owner I might be interested in a Buick. Got an email from the dude. Ask for more pictures. got a lot of beauties and he said we could close the deal for $9,200 including shippin in the us. Stated he moved to montana and needed the money for a house. Got an official EBay motors sheet, really complete and in it it said the seller has deposited $20,000 to insure against fraud. Now why would a guy put in $20,ooo he needs for a house to sell a car for $9,200. This ebay sheet was awsome. When I ask further about sheet metal condition, slow to respond. When I ask where in Montana I could see the car. No response. Sent the stuff to ebay. Couldnt forward the sheet he sent me but clearly this car would be a $30,000 car. Unbelieveable how this ebay sheet was sent.
It is now almost a pastime looking at the scams.
