I have been following this auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/322177603850?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

and am very surprised at how how the bidding has gotten. Is it just me, or does that body look like there is a LOT of bondo on it? The sides just don't flow right.

Has anyone actually seen this car up close?

Curious as to how others see it.

Body filler is hard to view (unless it is cracked and falling off) but with all the items that are not right on the car, I am reminded to order my Keystone raffle car ticket...

It's too late to ask about it now it has seconds to go.
I can see that it's had a Later Model Silver Hawk Dash installed so it must have had a Lot of serious reworking to have that replaced.

And the Front Seat has been replaced with a newer Stude. Seat.

There is no Clock, Tach or Vacuum Gauges meaning that is NOT a Golden Hawk Dash. The Left side does not look very straight but with shadows and reflections it's hard to tell about that without seeing it, but then I would never spend over $20,000.00 without seeing and driving it.

The Hawk that does look like it is worth every penny they are asking is this one:

Not a Hardtop, and not a Golden Hawk, but just LOOK at that beauty!

I wasn't interested in buying it. I wanted to bring it here to see what everyone else thought of it.

I am reminded to order my Keystone raffle car ticket...Right you are, Patrick! At the rate the tickets have been selling there may well be none available at Hershey on October 5!

:) All 1958-1961 Hawks had those die-cast, egg-crate side inserts, DeSoto:
