  • Raymond Loewy , Industrial Designer

July 4th, my 1963 Studebaker Avanti was at Antique & Classic Car Show at the Connecticut River Museum which was sponsored by the Essex Auto Club. A beautiful venue in a spectacular setting made for great day for car owners and spectators. A gentleman walked up and said he had worked for Raymond Loewy in his New York Studio. He was the fourth person I have met in CT who was a former employee of Loewy. He said that they were involved at the time in the design of the Russian Moskvitch XRL auto. Sometimes the name is seen with out the "t' included.

http://www.people.com/people/archive...065036,00.html This probably has been posted in the past, but it was interesting to meet another former employee of Loewy. He said he later worked for Ford in Dearborn.
