First up is an Ontario '62 Lark sedan. Sparse on details but does say motor rebuilt. $4K Canadian (.77 of USD at today's rates pegs this a little over $3K USD):

The last one has my interest. My thought is to buy it, have someone store it for me then go to the 2017 International Meet in South Bend then drive it home to Tucson. Nice car, most of my friends call it a Vice President, but I really like the 56 Models. When I was 4, Mom and Dad brought home a Sunglow Gold and white 4 door.

Bob--
I texted the owner to find a little more about it. He says he can send more pix. Also says floor pans need some work and that there's a small amount of surface rust. No holes, frame good.

Please tell me they didn't actually put Fender Skirts and a Visor  on the Beautiful Air force Blue Metallic and White '56 Power Hawk. :(

I have a weakness for GT Hawks. Wonder how much it would cost to import that black one from Canada?

If the importer is unable to prove that a car conforms to DOT requirements, it will have to be imported through a Registered Importer (RI). Classic or antique vehicles are subject to a 2.5% duty rate, which is based on its worth at the time of import. Canadian-made vehicles are generally duty free, provided the importer has valid proof of its origin.

Generally, classic or antique vehicles are exempt from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) pollution and safety requirements.

If the vehicle is at least 21 years old, there are no EPA compliance requirements upon importation.

A motor vehicle that is at least 25 years old can be lawfully imported into the U.S. without regard to whether it complies with all applicable DOT Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).

Thanks a bunch drpreposterous-you just cost me big time! (just kidding). We ended up with Grandma's '59 Lark Hardtop. Just did 29 hours in two days to retrieve it (two ferry rides plus about 800 miles. I think I am getting too old for this s**t. I'll clean her up and post some pics ASAP. It really is RUST FREE but as the ad states, she didn't miss much in her navigation. The big bonus is the obvious lack of rust and only 25,000 original miles(with the spare removed the trunk floor actually shines). I got it from her grandson who had great intentions but realized the restoration wasn't going to happen with him as the owner. I don't see a restoration as necessary but just some body work and TLC. The interior is pristine as is the hood, roof and trunk lid.
Cheers, Bill
