Is there a section on this site for parts? I am looking for parts for a 58 commander. Simple list...I think...a fuel tank, pair of mirrors. Does anyone know of anyplace to buy the original matching material? My seat has a small tear. Also front fenders? what other any similar model Studebakers used the same sheetmetal?

Welcome to the 'BIG' fin Club!!! :!:

The '58 sedan/wagon fenders are a one year only item. Fenders from other years ('56 & '57) can be made to work, but it'll take a bit of metal work. Fenders from a '58 Packard sedan/wagon would be easier, but those will also require some metal work to be 'right' for your car. Your best bet is to find '58 Champion/Commander/President parts. One place you could try looking would be the StudeSwap Page. If you don't see them offered- you can post a want ad so folks will know you are looking. http://www.studebakerswap.com/swap/swap.php

Have a look here for your seat material~ http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

I hope I have been of some help.
Enjoy the car!!! :!:

SMS in Canby Or should be able to give you a good match on your vinyl, and also do a color match from your sample. If your seats are cloth they should be able to come close, but I doubt that they will be able to provide an exact match.
