I believe that only happened on the Golden Hawk with 275 HP and the Packard Hawk not the Sedan/Hardtop 225 HP in 1958, unfortunately.
But, it is still quite rare in a Hardtop with Overdrive Trans.
It would be the first Stude. usage of the Long Tail T-86.Last edited by StudeRich; 05-30-2016, 08:53 PM.StudeRich

I don't know Rich,...I understood that '56-'58 President Classics had factory installed T-85 trannys when ordered with stickshift...Would this '58 be considered a 'President Classic'?

It's the most recent retired air force 2 plane. It's in Dover Delaware. Thanks!
That jet is one of the three C-9Cs. It is based on a DC-9. Though it may have carried Biden a time or two- his primary jet is a C-32, and that jet is based on a 757. They both do carry the special paint job designed (at the request of President Kennedy) by none other than our buddy Raymond Loewy.
