  • 64-66 cluster gauge face plate

I'm looking for a NOS or very good condition cluster gauge face plate for a 64 Daytona. Anyone know of a source for these? Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Studebaker International had NOS at one time. Have you tried them?

      Yes
SI had the rings for around $29 not long ago-same as clock and speedo.

He is not asking for the bezels. He wants the "faceplate" that sits behind the gauges.

            One word of caution.
When you disassemble this gauge cluster to change the background faceplate be careful and take pictures .
You have get spacers and insulator washer properly centered and avoid a disaster.
You will be better of if you buy a complete good used cluster from a low milage car.
A friend of mine burned up his wiring harness and nearly his car wen he messed with his cluster and everything shorted out.
Install a fuse if you know how to do that.
I am not sure if the color is different between 1964/65/66

I am not sure we are all talking about the SAME Part YET!

That is why it is much better to always use Part Numbers instead of your interpretation of the Part Name.

There is a good chance that David is needing the "cluster gauge face plate" that is the "Background" for the 4 Gauge Cluster.

ID:	1705710These are all the same '64-'66, Silver-Green as this NOS out of the Box Police Speedometer.

                OR, it COULD BE:
The whole Instrument Panel, Gauge MOUNTING Plate that the Speedo and the Instrument Cluster go into. That is the Black and Chrome Ribbed Plate, same '64/'65 Only.

Sounds to Me like He wants the main panel, the heat and defrost levers mount to. not sure, but I think 64,65 are the same - and 66 may be different faced, but not sure in what way

Rich is correct. I am looking for the silver-green plate as shown in Rich's picture except I need the one for the fuel-amp-oil-temp gauge cluster on the left most side of the instrument panel. I'd have used a part number but I don't know it.

Part number 1562644 is correct. I found it available NOS at Studebaker parts of Australia. http://studeparts.com.au/index.html
