I have just purched my first studebaker a 1963 wagon it came with shop maual it had a list of body id numbers but i could not find the number that was on my car the number on fire wall is 63v p2. i see referance to p3 p4 p6 and p8 but no p2. can anyone help id this car

The 63V means it is a 1963 model year car with a V8 engine and the P2 identifies it as a Standard wagon.

Yes you have a rather rare stripped down usually for Fleets, Studebaker Lark Standard, Wagon or Wagonaire depending on if it has the Sliding Roof or a special order Fixed Roof.
