  • What Type of Vent Shades are These?

Not mine, as I recall sometime way back there was a post on fabric vent shades for the doors. Could this be an elusive pair of them?

I want a set of those venetian shades for the 5-pass coupe. Heck, at $13 I'll invest in a truck load!

Even at 1947 speeds, I can't imagine these things lasted more than 3 years flapping in the slipstream. Kind of cool look though. I think they need white fringe though to complete the 'look' of the accessory.

I would think these could be made at home , they have them in modern day vans.

              Hi

"For the ultimate in motoring comfort in hot summer months, recommend the installation of Venetian Shades, Door Awnings, Seat Covers, and Studebaker's exclusive new Strat-o-lined Windshield Sun Visor."

One can just imagine a mature matronly lady living in the hot, sunny mid-west with her plain gray Champion, black wall tires and dog-dish hubcaps, outfitted with all of these to shade the interior, driving slowing about town on her errands. Everyone in town knows her, have never seen the car driven out of town at higher speeds. Its still out there, carefully stored in her small, one car garage, waiting to be discovered.

              Steve
