  • installed spring bushings

I got the new spring bushing from SPI last week and put them in today on my hawk springs. The bushing installer I got at auction last year worked great. On both the frame and the springs.

Looks like the weather has finally broken for you, spring has sprung! It's nice to have a tool that makes the job sooooooo much easier, right? Looks nice, Bill.

The spring bushings are a piece of cake. I'd be very interested to see the procedures you used for getting the rear bushing out of the frame on each side. Did you take any pix of that? Thanks

I did that about 6 years ago, I didn't have that tool, it wasn't any fun.
        Especially the frame bushings.

Once you cut off and remove the bolt, drill out the old rubber and either chisel or sawz-all the shell out......

You can also heat the old rubber with a torch, and knock it out.
