  • modified 1963 Lark 4-door available in Gig Harbor, WA

The price has been coming down. When I first saw this posted a few weeks ago, the owner was asking $5000.00. As of today it's down to $3600.00.

If he's going to put a Ford engine in it, at least he could have used a 289....

It came from the factory with a Ford 289...what's wrong with you?...everyone knows that Studebaker used Ford engines for years....they even put a supercharged Ford 289 in the Avanti...so I been told.

Now you can see the reason Larks were not painted two tone,

You been told wrong! Studebaker developed it's own V8 engine and after a few bores it was expanded to the 289 configuration. Ford and Studebaker have had a mixed relationship at best.

Post #4 making mention of the Ford engine used in Studebakers was a "tonque in cheek comment" by Lou. Welcome to the Forum!
