Broken Hood Cable on Avanti Question

Good Morning listers:


Question for the day. How do you open the hood of an Avanti when the hood cable is broken or inoperable? It has not happened to me, fortunately. I was looking at my '63 R-1 last night and wondered about that problem should it ever arise.

Rubber plugs in the wells under the hood catches. Pull them out through the fender wells and pop the catches with a screwdriver
