I have seen several of these and they look good to me. I have the Dodge short bed now, what years Ranger bed will work?

Right, and that way You may not have to take 4"s out of the center

I have an 08 big Dodge and sure would like to have the engine from it more than the bed, 350 Hemi.

Anything you adapt will require some fabrication. Why not just build something more versatile, like I did on my Ford Van chassis? Building things out of steel tubing is not exactly rocket science. The corners are cut off because it is also a tow truck, and you don't have to build the tool boxes - just a simple flat bed with removable side panels is a lot more versatile than a pickup box. I used some chrome wire shelves for the side panels.

I too have seen the ranger beds on Champs. I assume you mead the "Flareside" bed. I really like the look. I believe the Flareside bed came out mid-1993 on the new Splash models. By 1995 the Flareside was available on non-Splash models. Originally it came only on the standard cab but eventually was available on the extended cab as well. Now, I do not know if the Flareside beds were longer on the standard bed than the extended cab.

                Mighty nice.

Like the Frenched tail lights !! (Despite being A little lacking in side visibility)

Studebaker sold new Champ truck(s) with Ford beds and even Willys. Carried the story with photos in my Almanac column in TW some years ago.
