Rat Rod!?!? I am never sure what that really means.

I think with an R2 style engine, a 5 speed manual tranny, air conditioning and a few other amenities it would make a wonderful highway cruiser.

Are you sure that isnt a 58 wagon?
I've never seen anything definitive, but I think the taillights on a 57 are different than those on a 58.
The 57s are wide and very oval. 58's are round.

JRoberts That's what the young guy's are doing where they leave the body and paint just as it is and up date the drive train, throw a blanket over the seats and down the road they go safe or not. Not my cup of tea but to each their own.

Definitely a '58, the later ones (most) have no Fender Vent Doors like this one, the square mesh Grille and the round Tail Lights, same Lense as a '58 Champion.

The problem is that many guys who build a ride like you have described really resent the "rat rod" label.

Rat Rod has lots of definitions, but as for the wagon above... maybe it could end up a little like mine.
