We recently took a vacation to Mexico and while we down there we encountered a street artist who was making trinkets or souvenirs from coins.
He had all sorts of automotive stuff made up, Iowa State mascots what ever we wanted. I told him I wanted a Studebaker Hawk emblem and all I got in return was a blank stare. Obviously he had never made one or even heard of it. Google was his friend, and he found what I wanted then screenshot it. Next he took a picture of it with another cell phone holding up a template the same diameter as the Mexican coin I wanted to use. He then put clear tape over his cell phone and traced the image with a fine point sharpie. Took the tape over the coin drilled a small hole through the coin ind inserted a very fine diamond embedded wire and attached this to his coping saw and proceeded to cut the image out of the coin. He worked on this for about 45 min. and produced what I think was a neat souvenir
