1951 hand brake

My handbrake cable broke awhile back. See photo. Anybody know where I Can find that cable or the whole assembly? New or good used would be fine

(I would think that checking for parts that could be available from SI would be the first thing that people should do.)

Did that. I ordered that part number and received the wrong part. That part is called handle and conduit. SI had no stock of that. thanks

Fleet Farm sells various size of cable and the ends that can be crimped on, if that would work for you.

Actually 530616 is called "cable and conduit" and, judging from your photo, is precisely what you need.

#530616 is correct for the part you got. If you want the part that goes underneath the car and connects to the rear cable, that's #530130.
If you can't find it from the usual vendors, try Dave Thibeault (business card in Turning Wheels) or George Martin in PA (717-273-9502)
