  • 1941 Champion Values Plummeting!

From the looks of this invoice, I'd say somebody ran a CarFax on the 1941 Champion trade-in and learned that it had been used and [likely] abused by a Richard Quinn of Mokena IL. No wonder Mr. Chapman wanted to dispose of it pronto!

Therefore, when probable reconditioning expenses were factored in, a prudent dealer could not allow more than $40 valuation on trade-in, especially toward a $190 Pontiac two years older than the Studebaker!

Those early CarFax reports will get you every time when you travel downstate to try to snooker those hick rural dealers south of Chicago-land. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.
