Can anybody tell me how many of these Presidents are left?

That is a '29 model FH President cabriolet on the 125" wheelbase (body symbol E) as opposed to a roadster (body symbol R). I would call it a '29 since it does not have the radiator shutters. Studebaker made several running changes in the fall and winter of 1929-30 that distinguishes the '29 from the '30 (at least in the opinions of the people that have studied and know these cars). Most have accepted the date of the addition of the radiator shutters (at serial 7027014 on the FH cars) as the beginning of the '30 models. Why not check your number and let me know (also the body number from the firewall). I would estimate about a half dozen survive and this includes all 1929-30 FH Cabriolets. Yours is likely the only one that is RHD. I have two friends who own these cars, neither restored. The cabriolet was not a popular body style and they were discontinued after the '30 model year. As for the total number of 1929-30 Presidents (FE and FH) of all body styles that would be difficult to say but surely more than 150 as it was a big production year.Last edited by Studebaker Wheel; 01-29-2016, 03:00 AM.Richard Quinn
