Great action photo from yesteryear. What a waste of a nice car. Thanks Dick.

        Two observations:

        1. There appears to be an electrical cord running across the top of the left front fender, into the engine compartment. What's up with that?

        2. As to prying the hood open: When firemen respond to a vehicle fire, the first thing they try to do, if possible, is to get the hood open by whatever means needed, to disconnect the battery. Nobody in that photo looks like a fireman, however....on than a fire-initiating man! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

        G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Notice busted headlights and turn signals. Stick was going for the radatior? Car was abused before it was set afire.
