Will be taking out the rear windows and rubber so I can trim it once I have the replacement rubber.

I love projects like this. You are bringing a fun car back into use and having fun doing it on a budget. Not a nut and bolt restoration but you have a lot of time and experience invested in your car. I hope you will enjoy it for many years to come.

        Thanks Rob,RB,
It has been fun especially when you find things much cheaper by having a go yourself than just buying ready made.
By the time the interior is completed with all seats, headliner, door cards and even the carpet it will be less than the cost of a set of rear window seals !!!
it will never be a show winner but it`s sure turning out better than the rust bucket parts car it was when I found it.
Plus it`s given the wife some interest in the car too lol ;o)

Pay attention that the door panels are concave, and when you recover them you need to put q bend in them like they are when installed. Otherwise you will get all sorts of unsightly wrinkles.

              Thanks for the advice Bez,
Will now be aware of that feature when I cover them.
Not sure what I will do with the arm rests though, those rubber pads are not an easy item to cover if at all.
Maybe look for some others in keeping with the era.
              Thanks
