Thanks, Mike; those are neat ads.

Did anyone notice the used '59 Lark station wagon in the second ad? It is equipped with V-8, 6-cylinder, automatic transmission! Wow; 14 cylinders total!

The names of the Cincinnati area dealers are listed in the last ad. Which of them, if any, survived until the very end in 1966? Surely there had to be one left in that large of a metro area in March 1966. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Shepperds was one of those that went to the end and carried on with Mercedes.

Mike, is that a square lite 64 or round?
As far as Shepherd Service, I used to go down there on a regular basis around 1967. They moved down the street to a newer and larger building when they were just Mercedes. I became good friends with one of the owners, Pete Shepherd. We used to drive up to SB and buy parts and make a day of it. Pete's son and daughter still live here n town. His daughter owns Pete's old Avanti and belongs to our local chapter. His son, Glen has his own auto service business.

Sheppard's must have had some leftover Challengers in the Spring of 1964 to sell.

thanks for the reply. Small world, I know Sue and I am also a distance member of your chapter. My Avanti is round light and use to belong to my Uncle, Bob Kyvik.

That is a Neat '63 Ad that must have been one of the Zone Office's Corp. paid Ads, the last one in this group.

Is your Avanti a round or square light?
Pete Shepherd and I were good friends back in the day starting around 1968 or so. We used to drive to SB together to buy parts. His daughter still owns Pete's old Avanti and she belongs to our local club. His son, Glen , is still in town and owns an auto repair shop.

What a beautiful dealership building! Does anyone know if it still stands? I wonder if they ever sold Hudsons with those triangle emblems in the brickwork?

It was torn down in about 2010 and is now a road to new project located behind it. Ironically the building that appears attached to it still stands. That is a dealership owned truck to the right int He photo and lettered as such with Sheppard on it.

A '64 Studebaker for $1788. Not that much more than one of my friend's mother paid new for a '64 VW. I think she paid around $1,650.for it new.
