  • Interesting '57 Prez Classic project, '56 & '55 Presidents CL

    Hi

Someone spent a lot on a disk brake system on this '57 President Classic. Certainly would make a nice daily driver:

A '56 President Classic shell on a chassis, may be good parts car?:

A '55 President State project, a tad pricey:

The 57 President must be some thing with 4 wheel Disk Brakes, speaking of daily driving.

      Hi-

The '57 is mine. If anyone wants history or info or pictures of something specific, let me know and I'll do what I can.

And yes, with those brakes, it STOPS.

I always like that Ran when parked bit. Unless it was just a few days ago doesn't mean much.

It does mean positive things like; it didn't throw a rod that caused it to be taken out of service.

I talked to the '57 President owner yesterday. Seems like a sincere and nice fella. He's put a lot of work into the mechanical side of this car and I think it's a real bargain if you're looking for a comfy sedan to get around in. I'm tempted when I see a deal like this, but I also remind myself of all the projects I have sitting around here already.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

                    My 1957 Provencial Wagen

                    Hi Blake
I bought this from Bell's in Bellingham
It needs brake system over haul.
Please advise on disc brake system and where you got parts, Please.
About how much did it cost parts and labor?
I just want it to stop safely as I do not go fast.Your cost numbers will help me evaluate whether I over haul drum system or go with disc.

                    Thanks in advance

Sure wish there was some way to show craigslist ads so they would remain after the ad is taken down.
As usual there is nothing to see of how good a deal it was, or even what it was.
